A sales brochure is similar to a marketing brochure, as they both contain a creative, punchy headline and attractive graphics. The difference is the sales brochure is the first step in a series of events culminating into a successful sales call. A product catalog, contains more specific information about your products and may include prices and discount offers. It can be used as a direct-mail piece, a take-away piece for retail locations, a tool for your sales people, or all three.

The final element of any basic kit is the presentation materials used when you call on a client. A flip chart, for example, can be extremely effective for small groups, especially if visuals are consistent with the rest of the sales kit.
